Animation design

This series of designs were used for the University of Michigan School of Public Health’s welcome videos to individually welcome Master’s students into the Public Health program.

CHALLENGE:
Create exciting collage style design that allows for engaging options to bring to life through animation, while maintaining a scrapbook theme.

Solution:

Collage solutions that tell
a visual story with narration that welcomes students, and give them a taste of what they have to look forward to through photos ranging from when the school was founded until now.

INITIAL IDEATION:
To bring my concepts to life I first started with rough sketches, and collecting many photographs that could potentially be used in each of the collages. I also thought about what could be the movement aspect in each piece to help the animator during the animating process.
